As a first step you are welcome to a free twenty minute discovery call so that you can get a feel for me as a therapist and I get an idea of what you would like to work with. Following this you have the following options:

Sessions for children focus more on the NDP approach, using a range of creative mediums I combine non-directive, allowing children to free flow and express through play art etc and directive; guiding them to make something, create a story or learn strategies to help with emotional regulation, for example: tai chi through a game of 'Simon says', breathing in and out while tracing shapes with fingers and hands in the air, healthy ways to cathart emotions without harming others: squeezing balls, cushions, going from 'fists of fire', rapid clenching of fists and opening of hands, to 'lotus palms', slowly opening and closing the finger like a flower while breathing in and out. Somatic Experiencing is used partly, encouraging them to notice what they are feeling in their bodies, to find calming resources and places in their imaginations which help to sooth.
